Lost & Found in Translation
Take a familiar object and put its words into another language. Something is always lost, and something is found. Sometimes translation only changes who can read it. Sometimes it changes what it says. What you get depends on the language you bring.

The canvas is cut to the exact shape of a MetroCard, corners sawed off, a brass grommet set where the card's hole goes. Along the bottom, the swipe instruction reads as plain transit copy in English. In Korean, it might mean something else.
